The Consortium aims to use management and operation of the course and Catalan Center located Olympic Rowing Lake Banyoles, and the and maintenance of the race course and the management of other and sporting activities can take place on Lake Banyoles.

With the name "LAKE SPORTS CONSORTIUM BANYOLES" is is an entity of public law on partnership voluntary nature, legal personality separate and distinct from that of its members and integrated by the City of Banyoles, by the Region Council and Pla de l'Estany by the Diputación de Girona. Consortium will form part of the Catalan Federation of Rowing, Swimming Club Banyoles and the Spanish Federation of Rowing. The Consortium is established for an indefinite period. The membership of the Partnership may be extended by the accession of other government or private non-profit with purposes of public interest concurrent with those of this Consortium.
